For cocktails Shade Lounge is our go-to place. If you're looking for an ice-cold beer to watch the game, then HighSea at Sandal Bar is the "host with the most". But, if chilled wine and a buzzing atmosphere is more your thing, then head to Backyard No. 10 in the Old Town.

Loosen those belts and forget about the scales because Kalkan is a foodie paradise. Trio and, a little further along the harbour Seaport, are both fabulous. For traditional Turkish fayre try Mabeyn but, if it's pizza you're craving, Tesoro is only a short walk from the Villa.   

In the peak season it's wise to book ahead if you fancy a day at sea. Otherwise simply head down to the harbour and pick a boat you like the look of. If you're feeling very adventurous the day trip to Meis with Captain Osman Muslu is awesome. 

If you like your beach clubs stylish with a side order of cool, Cakil is a great choice. The music is always spot on, and our good friend Lev can often be found DJ-ing there. Indigo also has a wonderfully laid-back vibe and is an easy walk from Villa Andrea.

Kalkan is unmatched for designer fakes, textiles and gifts. Thursday's market has a wealth of choice but, while the prices are good, the quality may not be the best. If you want top-notch, head instead to the Old Town, shop around, even try your hand at some bartering.       

Fethiye, home to the famous Olu Deniz, is the halfway point between Kalkan and Dalaman. Closer by, and only a short but stunning drive away, is Kas. It boasts a fabulous marina, cute shopping streets, great restaurants and spectacular paragliding opportunities!
