A bit about us

We're Ian and Sue Dunkley, confirmed lovers of Kalkan, Turkey and all things Turkish.  In fact, we love it so much we even got married here! We're also the proud owners of Villa Andrea and nothing gives us more pleasure than sharing it with others who love it as much as we do.

Villa Andrea is named in memory of a very dear friend who is no longer with us. Andrea visited Kalkan with Sue in 2013, and it was a place that brought her immense joy. She always hoped to return, but sadly never had the chance.

When it came to naming our home in the sun, Andrea came immediately to mind. Naming the villa after her keeps her memory close, in a place that holds so many happy moments for us.

We’re fully invested in this little slice of Mediterranean heaven. We visit whenever we can during the warm summer months, but you’ll also find us here at the quieter start and end of the season, when the days soften and the pace slows.

Ian is a member of Kalkan Whites, a group of Leeds United supporters (The Mighty Whites!), and Sue has a wide circle of friends in town—ladies who lunch, shop, and occasionally make an appearance at a beach club!

Many of our guests have stayed with us for years and know us well. We understand, though, that new guests may feel more comfortable when they can put faces to names. If you’d like to virtually meet us, we’re very happy to arrange a video call or to provide references from guests who are always delighted to sing Andrea’s praises.
